Honest comparison · prices checked September 2026
Tradify is popular with UK trades for good reason: scheduling, quotes, invoices, timesheets and certificates in one app. What it doesn't do is answer the email that starts the job. BLAM8 sits on the mailbox you already have, replies in your voice from your real prices, and books the work into a live diary, for one price per business rather than per person.
Tradify is good at the site end of the job. This page won't pretend otherwise.
BLAM8 answers the email Tradify never sees. The job arrives already booked.

| What it is | Job management for trades: jobs, scheduling, quotes, invoices, payments and site paperwork | An AI agent on your mailbox: answers the enquiry, books it into a live diary, quotes and invoices, and fills in the CRM |
| Inbound customer email | No AI replies. You read and answer each enquiry yourself | Connects to your existing Outlook or Gmail. Every enquiry drafted in your voice from your prices and policies, draft-only until you choose auto-send. When it doesn't know the answer, it holds the email and asks you |
| AI | SmartTools, on the Plus plan only: reading supplier bills and help with writing | On every plan: replies, booking and labelling. On Pro + Concierge, the Concierge, your own assistant you ask or tell by typing or voice |
| Scheduling | A job schedule with Google Calendar sync | Booked from the email against real capacity, synced to Outlook or Google Calendar. It never books a date or time nobody chose: a missing time holds the space and asks |
| Quotes and invoices | Yes, with online and card payments | Yes, on every plan. The customer accepts a quote on a page; invoices are chased at 7, 14 and 30 days; card payments go into your own Stripe account (Stripe Connect) |
| Accounting | Sync with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks Online | An export for Xero, QuickBooks and bookkeepers, monthly or per Making Tax Digital quarter, and a Xero history import. No live sync |
| Timesheets, certificates, purchase orders | Yes, all three | No. That's Tradify's ground |
| Your team | Each user is a paid seat | People on every plan at no extra cost, including staff who never sign in. Choose what each person can see and do, see the app as they do ("View as"), and put one or several people on a job |
| Customer records | Customers and jobs you keep up to date | On Pro, a CRM that fills itself in from the email: contacts, deals, promises owed both ways, and the customer's mood across the thread |
| Pricing | Per user per month: Lite £34 · Pro £37 · Plus £44. 14-day free trial | Per business per month: Starter £39 · Pro £99 (adds the CRM) · Pro + Concierge £249 (adds the Concierge). Free trial of the full product for 14 days or 100 handled emails, whichever comes first, no card to start |
A customer writes: "Could you fit a new consumer unit at ours next week? We're out Tuesday. Roughly what would it cost?"
The email sits in your inbox until you get to it. That evening you read it, work out the price, write the reply, then create the job and pick a day in Tradify. From there Tradify runs it well: the quote, the certificate, the invoice.
A reply in your voice gives the price from your price list and offers a day next week that isn't Tuesday, with the space held so nothing else takes it. You approve from your phone; it's sent, booked and on the customer's record.
Recent one and two-star Trustpilot reviews of Tradify keep coming back to a few things: support that's hard to reach, data going missing, being billed after a trial or after cancelling, and being held to a year's contract. Plenty of people are happy with Tradify too; these are the themes, not the verdict.
Here's where BLAM8 stands on each. It's month to month and you can cancel any time. The trial needs no card, so there's nothing to be charged when it ends. Your email never moves: BLAM8 works on top of your own Outlook or Gmail mailbox, so the conversations stay where they've always been. And hello@blam8.com reaches the people who build it.
Not for you. Tradify's AI tools, which it calls SmartTools, come on the Plus plan only and help with things like reading supplier bills and writing. None of its plans answers the enquiries arriving in your mailbox, so each reply is still yours to write. BLAM8 connects to the Outlook or Gmail inbox you already have, drafts every reply in your voice from your own prices and policies, holds the date in a live diary and waits for your approval.
On 25 September 2026 Tradify's UK pricing page showed Lite at £34, Pro at £37 and Plus at £44, each per user per month, with a 14-day free trial. The bill grows with every person you add. BLAM8 is priced per business, not per user: Starter £39, Pro £99 (adds the self-filling CRM) and Pro + Concierge £249 a month, and your team costs nothing extra.
No. Timesheets, certificates and forms, purchase orders and running the job on site are Tradify's ground, and it does them well. BLAM8 covers the front of the job: the enquiry answered, the date booked, the quote and invoice sent and chased, and the customer record filled in by itself on Pro.
Yes. There's no direct link between them today, but they can run side by side: BLAM8 answers the inbox and books the work, and Tradify keeps the timesheets, certificates and purchase orders. If what's eating your evenings is typing replies, start with BLAM8.
For part of the job. Both do scheduling, quotes and invoices. Tradify goes deeper on site: timesheets, certificates, purchase orders and live accounting sync. BLAM8 goes deeper on the inbox: every enquiry answered in your voice, bookings that are never made for a date nobody chose, and a CRM that fills itself in. Pick by where your time goes.
Free trial of the full product for 14 days or 100 handled emails, whichever comes first. No card to start. Connect the mailbox tonight and tomorrow's enquiries get answered, priced and booked, waiting for your yes.
