BLAM8

How onboarding works

From sign-in to your first approved reply.

No migration, no IT project, no sales call. BLAM8 runs on the mailbox and calendar you already have — here is exactly what setup involves, including the one step that takes longer than a few clicks.

01

With Microsoft or Google — no password to create, nothing to install. You're in the app in under a minute.

02

A short interview, not a settings maze

The built-in assistant asks about your business in plain English — what you do, who emails you, what a good outcome looks like — and turns your answers into configuration. You can type three sentences and move on; you can always go deeper later.

03

Pick your industry

One choice tunes the agent's vocabulary to your trade — consignments and PODs for haulage, callouts and day rates for trades — and decides which OS module fits when you want one. Your own voice settings always win over the defaults.

04

Connect the mailbox

One click opens Microsoft's or Google's own consent screen — you grant scoped, revocable access to the one inbox you choose. BLAM8 never sees your password, and you can cut access from your side at any time. Drafting starts on the very next email that arrives.

05

Teach it your business — the one real step

This is the only part of setup that takes longer than a few clicks, and it's the part that makes replies worth sending: paste your prices, policies and FAQs, upload documents, add pages. The agent quotes what you actually charge — and says what it doesn't know instead of inventing. Most businesses do it in one sitting with the price list open.

06

Approve from the queue

Drafts wait for you — approve, tweak or skip in a click. Thumbs-down a bad line, say what's wrong, and it becomes a standing never-rule. When the queue has earned your trust, switch full-auto on per mailbox; escalations and heated threads still wait for a human even then.

Optional extras, whenever you're ready: connect your calendar so confirmed bookings land in Outlook or Google Calendar and your busy times block the diary, and import your order book or contacts from CSV/Excel. Neither is required to start.

What BLAM8 needs from you

  • Mailbox consent — revocable OAuth to the inbox you choose: read incoming mail, send the replies you approve. Never a password.
  • Your business knowledge — prices, policies, services, FAQs. This is what grounds every reply in fact.
  • Optionally, your calendar — for the Scheduling tier, so bookings are real and double-booking is impossible.

That's the whole list. No migration, no new inbox, no access to your other systems — your Outlook or Gmail stays exactly as it is, and disconnecting deletes the tokens and stops all processing. Full detail on our security & data handling page.

And if you connect it, then get busy?

It quietly keeps working — and sends nothing. Drafts accumulate in the approval queue. Booking details are gathered into a pinned card on each thread. The CRM fills itself in: contacts, companies, deals with a stage and value, promises in both directions. When you come back, the admin is done and waiting for a yes. Until you approve something, no customer ever hears from the AI.

You're never on your own either: the built-in assistant answers questions aware of your actual setup state — "you've connected the mailbox, now add your rate card" — from your first visit to travel-time buffers and escalation rules.

The mood read

It notices a customer getting annoyed before you do.

Automation that can't tell when a customer is upset is a liability. So every contact carries a live emotional temperature, read from their own words across the whole conversation — not a black-box score.

Read from their words

The mood and its trend — improving or worsening — are tracked across every email in the relationship, with the reason shown in their own words. A polite email after two chasers reads differently from a polite first email, and BLAM8 knows it.

Flagged before it costs you

A customer turning frustrated is surfaced in the inbox and on the dashboard, and the agent's replies change register to match — more direct, more careful, no breezy cheerfulness at an angry customer.

Heated means human

A heated thread is always held for your approval — even if that mailbox is on full-auto. Angry customers are how businesses lose accounts; they get a person, every time.

Setup questions, answered straight

How long does it take to set up?+

Sign-in, the interview and connecting your mailbox are a few clicks each — drafting starts on the very next email in. Teaching it your business is the only step that takes real time, and most businesses do it in one sitting with their price list open.

Do I have to stop using Outlook or Gmail?+

No — BLAM8 runs on the mailbox and calendar you already have. Your inbox stays your inbox; keep working exactly as before and approve drafts when it suits you. Disconnect any time and your mailbox is untouched.

What if the AI gets something wrong?+

Nothing sends without you until you decide otherwise — a wrong draft costs you one click, not a customer. Thumbs-down the bad line, say what's wrong, and it becomes a standing never-rule the agent won't break again. And because replies are grounded in your own knowledge, the agent says "I don't know" rather than inventing.

When would BLAM8 hand a conversation to a human?+

On your escalation rules, on a heated mood read, and whenever it's out of its depth. All three hold the thread for a person — even in full-auto.

Connect it in the morning. Approve your first draft the same day.

Free 14-day pilot on your real inbox — no card, draft-only, nothing sends without you.
