Fyxer and BLAM8 sound identical from a distance — AI that drafts email replies in your voice. Up close they're solving different problems. Fyxer makes one professional faster at their own inbox. BLAM8 runs the business's inbox — grounded in your real prices, booking real jobs, filling in the CRM as it goes.
Personal productivity is Fyxer's game and it's a good one. BLAM8 doesn't sort your personal inbox or take meeting notes.
Fyxer stops at the draft, by design. BLAM8 starts there.

| Fyxer AI | BLAM8 | |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | A professional's personal inbox — executives, consultants, recruiters, per seat | The business's customer mailbox — info@, bookings@, orders@ — per company |
| What grounds the replies | Your writing style, learned from ~300 recent sent emails — no business knowledge base | A knowledge base you curate — rate card, services, policies, FAQs — plus your voice; thumbs-down a bad line once and it becomes a standing rule |
| Sending | Draft-only, always — Fyxer states it "will never send an email on your behalf" | Approval-first by default; flip to full-auto per category once it's earned your trust |
| Scheduling | Meetings: drafts proposing free times, plus Calendly-style scheduling links | Jobs: live-diary booking with holds that can't double-book; engineers, vehicles and rate-card quotes on the OS modules |
| Beyond the inbox | Meeting notetaker, inbox Q&A chat (Professional); no CRM (HubSpot integration only), no SMS, no quotes or invoicing | Self-filling CRM (contacts, deals, promises from the mail flow), SMS + missed-call text-back, industry OS modules with job boards and invoicing |
| Pricing | Starter $30/user/mo ($22.50 annual) — 1 inbox, 1 calendar · Professional $50/user/mo ($37.50 annual) · Enterprise from 50 seats · 7-day trial | Email £39/mo (300 emails) · Core £99/mo with Scheduling (750 emails) · Core + your OS £248/mo (Transport £298) · 14-day pilot, no card |
A customer writes to your business address: "Hi, what would you charge to service two units, and could anyone come Thursday morning?"
The thread is labelled "To Respond" and a draft appears in the mailbox, written in your tone. But the price in it is whatever your past emails suggest — there's no rate card behind it — and Thursday morning is only a suggestion of free time on your own calendar, not a held slot. Whoever owns the seat still checks the number, fixes the quote, and books the job somewhere else.
The draft quotes the two-unit service off your actual rate card, offers Thursday 9–11 with the right engineer, and holds that slot so nobody can double-book it while the customer decides. The contact, the deal and the promise are already in the CRM. You approve — sent, booked, tracked.
No — it learns how you write from your sent mail, not what your business charges. There's no knowledge base grounding the drafts, so a price in a Fyxer draft is an echo of old emails. BLAM8 drafts from a knowledge base you curate: your rate card, services and policies.
It proposes meeting times from your calendar and offers scheduling links — genuinely useful for meetings. It doesn't hold slots, prevent double-booking beyond suggesting free times, or know about jobs, engineers, vans, quotes or invoices. BLAM8 books the work itself, into a live diary, with holds.
Fyxer is built per seat, for an individual's own mailboxes — it isn't designed as a shared operational inbox for a team. BLAM8 is the opposite: the business mailbox is the whole point, with every conversation, booking and CRM record belonging to the company, not a seat.
If what you want is your own inbox triaged and pre-drafted, Fyxer is the right shape and BLAM8 isn't. If what you want is customers answered accurately and the work behind their emails booked and tracked, that's BLAM8 — and it costs less than one Fyxer Professional seat.
Free 14-day pilot, no card. Connect the business mailbox and watch it answer with your real prices — then book the work.
